The JONSMOD 2018 Conference will be held from 17 - 19 October 2018 in Florence, Italy and will be hosted by Consorzio LaMMA.
The general theme of JONSMOD conferences is ‘Latest modeling techniques for shallow seas’. The intention of JONSMOD biannual conferences is to allow informal discussions and exchange alongside presentations. “Operational Oceanography for Blue Growth is a week long summer school organised by the JERICO-NEXT project, hosted by the University of Malta (Physical Oceanography Research Group, Department of Geosciences). It will be held from 9th-14th July 2018 and delivered by an international range of renowned experts.
We live on a Blue Planet, and Earth’s waters benefit many sectors of society. The future of our Blue Planet is increasingly reliant on the services delivered by marine and coastal waters. Maintenance of these services relies on the advancement of effective, evidence-based decisions for sustainable development.
The EGU General Assembly 2018 will bring together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary and space sciences. The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career researchers, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience. The Sixth Annual MONGOOS meeting will be organized by HCMR in Athens between 14th and 16th of November. Prior to the Annual Meeting, a one-day Workshop on “Mediterranean Sea Observing systems” will take place, providing the opportunity to the MONGOOS members to discuss the present status and the future of the Mediterranean Observatories.
